1. Scope of Services
Rapid Results DNA Laboratories provides DNA sample collection services and facilitates laboratory testing through nationally accredited third-party laboratories. Services include, but are not limited to, relationship testing, prenatal testing, immigration-related testing, infidelity testing, and genetic wellness testing.
Rapid Results DNA Laboratories does not perform laboratory analysis on-site unless otherwise stated. All testing is conducted by accredited partner laboratories in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations.
2. Legal vs. Informational Testing
Once testing has begun, results cannot be converted between informational and legal without additional fees and laboratory approval.
Clients are responsible for selecting the correct test type at the time of service. Legal DNA testing follows strict chain-of-custody procedures and is intended for court, legal, or government use. Informational DNA testing is for personal knowledge only and is not legally admissible.
3. Payments & Fees
Full payment is required prior to sample collection unless otherwise agreed in writing. All prices are subject to change without notice. Additional fees may apply for additional participants, mobile collection services, rush processing, non-standard or alternative samples, and re-collections due to client error or non-compliance.
All payments are non-refundable once samples have been collected and submitted to the laboratory.
4. Appointments, Cancellations & No-Shows
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Missed appointments or late cancellations may result in a forfeited deposit or service fee. Mobile appointments may incur additional charges if access is not provided at the scheduled time.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate and truthful personal information, present valid government-issued photo identification, follow all collection instructions, and ensure minors are accompanied by a legal guardian with proper documentation. Failure to comply may result in test delays, invalid results, or additional fees.
6. Confidentiality & Data Security
Rapid Results DNA Laboratories maintains strict confidentiality protocols. Client information and results are handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and released only to authorized parties. Results are delivered through secure methods. Clients are responsible for safeguarding their own copies once released.
7. Limitation of Liability
Rapid Results DNA Laboratories is not responsible for decisions made by clients based on test results, delays caused by incomplete documentation or non-standard samples, laboratory processing timelines beyond stated estimates, or legal outcomes resulting from DNA test results. Liability is limited to the amount paid for services rendered.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts within Virginia.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling services, submitting payment, or providing samples, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Policies.
